Privacy & cookies
This page explains the website’s technical storage and optional services. It is not a request to accept optional services: browsing, sign-in and forms remain available when you reject them.
Contact about your privacy
JM World Orchestra is a programme of Jeunesses Musicales International. For privacy questions or requests about your personal data, contact us using the email address below.
Information you choose to share
Account information is handled through Clerk to provide authentication and secure access. Information you submit through contact forms is used to handle your enquiry. Signed-in alumni profile claims are reviewed before publication. The public session participation form publishes your name and instruments immediately in your selected session lists after your separate publication consent; email and phone stay private for the orchestra team. It does not grant profile editing access. Newsletter subscriptions require a separate, explicit opt-in. Accepting optional website services does not subscribe you to email or authorize publication of your information.
Friends of Peace donations and emails
Friends of Peace gifts are made to JM International. We link your verified account to a Stripe customer and retain gift amounts, dates, payment references, refund information and recurring-gift status to administer your giving. Stripe processes payments and provides its hosted checkout, receipts and giving-management portal; we do not store your full payment-card details. Stripe’s own privacy notices apply on its hosted pages. Your identity and individual giving history are not published by this programme; public fundraising figures are aggregate totals.
Programme emails require a separate opt-in and are sent through Resend. You can change this preference in your giving dashboard or use the confirmation link in a programme email. Unsubscribing does not cancel a monthly gift; cancelling a gift does not change your email preference. Financial records may need to be retained for gift administration and applicable accounting obligations. Contact us with questions about your giving data.
Storage and service inventory
| Service / storage | Purpose and control | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| This website: jmwo.privacy.consent / jmwo.privacy.receipts (local storage) | Necessary: remember your decision and hold local consent receipts; not sent to a tracking service. | 180 days; up to 20 unexpired receipts. |
| Clerk authentication cookies, including __session and __client_uat where applicable | Account authentication and security. SDK telemetry is disabled. Names and availability depend on the environment. | Session/provider-controlled. Clerk privacy notice. |
| CMS drafts / contact confirmation (session storage) | Necessary to retain a requested draft or confirmation in the current browser tab. | Until the browser session ends or the value is cleared. |
| Google Fonts: fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com | Optional external typeface delivery; never loaded until you explicitly allow it. No cookies are set by this font integration. Google Fonts privacy information. | No consent cookies; downloaded files may be cached by your browser. |
| Replit publishing custom event analytics | Optional interaction and successful-submission events. Controlled by the analytics choice; no additional analytics script or identifier is installed by this application. | Event retention is managed by the publishing analytics service, separately from the 180-day consent choice. |
| Advertising | Not installed; no consent sought for this unused category. | Not applicable. |
Custom event analytics
With your permission, the website reports public page categories, archive interactions, recording starts, hosting and audition link clicks, and successful community submissions to our first-party analytics dashboard. It stores daily counts by a fixed event/category vocabulary, without visitor identifiers, names, email addresses, IP addresses, URLs, search terms, messages or profile text. Aggregate counters expire after 180 days and are removed when analytics is next accessed. We do not calculate unique visitors, cross-visit profiles or identifiable journeys. Existing saved-submission totals are separately derived from operational records; rejecting optional analytics does not prevent forms from working or erase those records. Rejecting analytics stops future optional events; we do not queue or replay events from before consent. Custom events can additionally be sent through Replit publishing analytics when that is enabled in Publishing settings and the site is republished. Hosting-provider traffic and automatic pageview metrics remain separate and are not controlled by this switch.
Change or withdraw consent
Use “Privacy & cookies” at the bottom of the footer to open your settings. Rejecting optional services removes their active integration immediately. It does not delete your account, affect newsletter consent, undo data already transmitted, or erase data held by another provider. Without a saved choice, optional services stay off. Closing preferences without saving is not consent.
Clearing browser storage resets your saved decision. Expiry, an invalid record or a new consent version also resets optional services to off. Choices are specific to this browser, not synchronized to your account.
Current consent version: 2026-10-16.2. A downloadable receipt is available in preferences after you make a decision.
Retention
Privacy choices and local consent receipts are retained on this browser for up to 180 days. Receipt history is limited to the most recent 20 unexpired decisions. Browser-session drafts and confirmations are held in session storage. Unfinished Backstage submissions include your answers, session selections, current step and completed upload references, scoped to your account and this tab’s browser session. They are cleared on sign-out, account change, successful submission or explicit discard; credentials and file contents are not stored in the draft. Discarding a draft removes its browser copy, not files already uploaded to the server. Authentication cookie lifetimes depend on the authentication provider and session configuration. Contact us for information about the retention of account, enquiry, archive-profile or newsletter data.
Newsletter subscriptions
Newsletter signups are sent to Mailchimp for the JM World Orchestra audience. We send your email address and the time of your signup to request confirmation for a new subscription. Existing unsubscribe and delivery-status choices are preserved. You can unsubscribe through the link in a Mailchimp newsletter. A separate local website signup receipt may be retained; removing that receipt does not change your Mailchimp subscription. Mailchimp’s privacy notice applies to its processing. This newsletter choice is separate from website cookie preferences and Friends of Peace programme emails.
Service providers and international transfers
Authentication, website delivery, submitted forms and newsletter delivery use service providers. Optional Google Fonts may receive network data outside the EEA. For details about the controller, the legal bases, processors, retention periods and applicable international-transfer safeguards for your personal data, contact the privacy address below.
Your data protection rights
Under applicable data protection law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to relevant processing. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. You can complain to the competent data protection authority, including the authority in the country where you live or work.
Official guidance
Our consent controls follow the principles of prior opt-in, unambiguous choice and easy withdrawal. Applicable national ePrivacy rules also matter.
