1969

Budapest, Hungary

In 1969 JM World Orchestra brought together outstanding young musicians under the guidance of world-class conductors for a full concert programme followed by an international tour.

Conductor

János Sándor (1933–2010) was a Hungarian conductor known for his work in orchestral performance and for his leadership within Central European musical life. He collaborated with professional ensembles in Hungary and abroad, contributing to concert programming and interpretations of both classical and 20th-century repertoire. Sándor was also active in musical training and artistic development, helping support the next generation of musicians through his professional engagements.

Soloist

Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden is a Belgian classical pianist, born in 1947, best known for winning the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition in 1964 at just 16 years old. He is admired for his refined, lyrical playing and has built an international career as both a soloist and chamber musician. Alongside performing, he has also been an important teacher at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, helping train the next generation of pianists.
