In 1965 JM World Orchestra brought together outstanding young musicians in Austria under the guidance of world-class conductors such as Zubin Mehta for a full concert programme followed by an international tour showcasing the orchestra’s talent on renowned stages and festivals. The edition featured Alexander Jenner as soloist.

Zubin Mehta (born 1936) is a renowned Indian-born conductor celebrated for his powerful interpretations of major symphonic works. He held major leadership roles, notably as Music Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic (1962–1978), the New York Philharmonic (1978–1992), and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (1965–2019), becoming a titan of classical music.

Alexander Jenner
Alexander Jenner (1921–1998) was an Austrian pianist known for his distinguished career as both a performer and a professor. He was a long-time faculty member at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where he trained many students and contributed significantly to piano pedagogy. Jenner was respected for his refined technique, clarity of interpretation, and strong command of the classical and romantic repertoire, performing widely in Europe and participating in chamber music collaborations throughout his career.
